interesting facts about octopuses - Sudany

The Ocean is home to a lot of strange things fishes and worms and other strange organisms, today... we will talk about octopuses as one of stranger and smarter organism, octopuses are pretty smart, scientists said that octopuses can use things in order to achieve something or to help himself.

Octopus is very strange organism, with eight legs and three heart.
Molluscs like octopus and squid can exist in all oceans in the world, they have been discovered before 500 million years in the ocean.
There are more than 700 types of organism belong to the molluscs category in the ocean.

The construction of the molluscs is a head contain all his organ and many legs, in the mid of their body there are a beak formed by the certain. (also our fingernail and our hair made up from certain).

So Smart! :
The molluscs are more smarter than other organisms, they have big brain comparing with other invertebrate ، octopuses specially have nine brain!! One exist in it's head and other eight brains in each leg, the main brain in the head responsible for the important function and making decisions, and other eight brains to process information obtained by those legs.
As humans we cannot do two different things in the same time, but the leg of the octopus can do something while the main brain busy with something else.

Octopuses also have three heart, two hearts work to provide his legs with blood and one heart for the his organ, and when the octopus swim one of his heart stop working.
Octopuses have a blue blood that because they have the senoglobin that take the oxygen to the body, as human we have a red blood because we have a hemoglobin that transfer the oxygen to our body.

Octopuses are very strange organism and it is just one of a lot of other organisms in the ocean that have not been studied yet.

why it's hard to sleep in new places ?!

Why we can't sleep in new places?
What is the first-night effect?

Many people first night's rest is everything but restful, even if they are tired and need for sleep, when we sleep in new place we  don't feel comfortable and safe and that's why our some people can't sleep very well.

Biologically half of our brain sleeps and the other half stay awake, this so weird but it is true and this phenomenon called "first-night effect".

What is the first-night effect ?!

Have you ever experienced poor sleep when you sleep in new environments or in unfamiliar place that you don't accustom to?
First-night effect is disturbance to sleep usually occurs when you sleep in unfamiliar environments.

When you sleep in new or unfamiliar place, you actually sleep like dolphin!! One half of your brain is more vigilant than the other to protect you during sleep.

This part of your brain watches out for any indication of danger and wake you up if find one, slightest sound, light, touch or other external stimuli can wake you up during the first night sleep.

First night sleep is characterized by reduction  of sleep time, and lower the sleep efficiencies, and reduction the important sleep stages like REM sleep.
Old study suggests that the first night effect may extend beyond the first night.

First night effect is just one thing of a lot of other things that our brain do protect itself, your brain always careful for new or unfamiliar places.

stem cells transplant has cured a person of HIV disease

The man became the third man cured of HIV disease by stem cell transplants!!

Stem cells transplant could cure HIV disease, actually it is already has cured person and this person has become the third person ever cured of HIV disease, the tow other patients were also cured of HIV disease after stem cell transplants.

The 54-years-old known as dusseldorf patient, has deemed cured after going 4 years without anti-retroviral therapy (ART) and having no relapse، the treatment is widely given to HIV patients in many countries and it is suppresses the virus to the point that the symptoms do not present and it can not be spread to other people if taken regularly.

Stem cell transplants involves destroying unhealthy blood cells and replacing them with healthy stem cells, usually from bone marrow of another person.

They carry significant risk of complications due to infection after the transplanted cell attacking other cells in host's body.
Due to this danger, they currently carried out where the patients have other life-threatening disease.

While the stem cell transplants therapy is unlikely to be available soon, the researchers are optimistic the knowledge gained from curing those patients and it will help future studies into HIV disease cures.

The availability of the ART has risen dramatically after major worldwide push in recent years, from 25% of people with HIV receiving it in 201‪0 to 75% in 202‪1 According to world Bank data.
Coverage remains low in many poorer countries, which is the home of people lives with HIV disease, it has risen to 79%.

Stem cell transplants may be the solution to cure the HIV disease, but it needs some development and well understand how the virus work to train our immune system to stop it.

Honeybees venom kills breast cancer:

Honeybees venom kills aggressive breast cancer:

The breast cancer that we have been fighting for along time, now we are using the chemotherapy but it is not work very well, by other words it is not cure all patients, but scientists didn't stop in this step, they worked and they tried until they found something was not expected!! Honeybees venom.

It will be amazing if honeybee could provide us with more than just honey, well, in study published in the journal NATURE PRECISION ONCOLOGY they found out that specific  component in Bees venom can kill aggressive breast cancer.

The Bees were put to sleep with carbon dioxide and kept on ice before the venom brab was pulled out from abdomen of Bees, the venom is extracted by careful dissection.

The chemotherapy is damaging the healthy cells when doing their intended job, but this component had a very little effect on the healthy cells.

The melittin compound :

The melittin is the compound that the scientists have discovered, it is pretty effective, after testing it in clinical subtypes of breast cancer, it took 60 minutes for melittin compound to disrupt the membranes of the cancer cells.

The melittin compound is not harmful like chemotherapy, it is actually used for treating several central nervous system diseases, inflammation, and another benefits.

And imaging if we somehow combined the melittin compound with already existed chemotherapy how the fast of killing will be!!
